It was hard to bring IT into the fashion industry - Fashion Tech Night # 001 Report

The other day,Fashion Tech Night # 01 We had an event that was held. OrganizerFashion People + Fashion PeopleMr. It is a recruitment company specializing in the fashion industryCREDENCE (Creedence)It is said to be a project managed by. peitaro went to play with FashionTech being one of the fields of specialty. Although it is easy, I would like to report it.

The event consists of two parts. Part 1 in STYLER 's Ozeki President' s commentary on the FashionTech industry trends, Part 2 was the pitch and panel discussion by the four startup companies.

In Japan, the community is too separated and liquidity is low

Mr. Ozeki of STYLER (right)

Part 1 was an overview of the FashionTech industry from STYLER's Kozeki.

First of all Mr. Ozeki argued that "Japan has low liquidity in employment". OverseasDecoded FashionCoupled with the fact that there are organizations like "FashionTech" and "Hub", people will flow into the fashion industry from various industries (it is also a bridge to other industries). It is said that the liquidity of employment is high overseas. As you all know in Japan, the liquidity of employment between companies is low and there are still few things moving from industry to other industries.

From Mr. Ozeki's slide

Mr. Ozeki seems to have a desire to break down such a situation. Due to such a thing, Mr. Ozeki is doing a platform and organizing various events.

Well, the story goes to China. Recently, in the startup area the presence of China is increasing day by day, Tencent and Baidu are pulling it. And they are actively doing M & A, but according to Mr. Ozeki, one of the trends that is the subject is "O2O". In a sense, they already have restricted the Internet-only world, so what I want next is real information. Then Ozeki asserted that it is inevitable to keep an eye on O2O, so that it will be the next flow to take user's information attributes. Indeed I will study.

Panel discussion - Propagation of IT was the first bottleneck

The second part was also the pitch of the four companies at the platform, but here I will leave out and let me introduce you to the panel discussion (Who speaks I will face down). Panelists are the following people.

  • Styler Co., Ltd. Mr. Tsubasa Koseki
  • Mr. Seto Keisuke Seto
  • Citatell Co., Ltd. Mr. Hidekazu Kono
  • Air closet Co., Ltd. Mr. Akira Amanuma

Well, all of you commonly said that it is hard to bring IT into the fashion industry.

In the fashion industry (depending on situations, of course, depending on situations), information management on paper and ordering by FAX are still underway, so it is not an industry where IT is progressing the industry is progressing peitaro does not run, but laughs). So, suddenly your company's solution with IT ... anything going to be repelled is Sekiyama. In particular, the older you become, the stronger that trend seems to be. It seems that some people told me that "I do not have IT" while having iphone

Well, I'm wondering how we addressed this problem, but apparently there is no critical way. Everyone had their mouths in it, and they answered "We have no choice but to do it regularly". Especially at the beginning of the service there was no track record and I went to the business anyway and said that I explained the service · business many times many times. If you let me explain once, it is good to introduce your friends who are interested in the phone shocking format.

It was said that the fashion industry is conscious of IT, but on the other hand, it seems that people who are strongly aware of the crisis are unlikely to remain in this situation. Some people have tablets but they are not working well. It seems that it will be necessary for xxTech, including FashionTech, to involve such people firmly in the business as a customer.

"Future trends are real tech" "Create a new market"

At the end of the panel discussion, everyone at the venue gave a message from the speakers, so I will introduce the opinions I was interested in.

I think that the future trend is real tech. In VC there are people who want to make fund specializing in real tech. I still have plenty of room for bringing technology to underdeveloped areas of technology, so I would like to work on it.

I would like to create what I have never had before. It is also an opportunity for the environment, including that funds are easy to gather. There is no reason not to challenge.

There was also a social gathering after the event, and this was also exciting ('- `) .. oO (I forgot to take a picture)
By the way By the way I went to STYLER company for a bad day and a student I got acquainted here worked internship lol

It was fun overall, I wonder if there is a second one.
